ScriptPNG is specially designed to optimize PNG files with advanced techniques. It can convert dozen of formats to PNG, and can apply multiple process of compression. Most of the time, ScriptPNG get the best time / size ratio. It can also convert files to PNG8, including alpha support, and can also optimize RGBA files (PNG24+Alpha).

Features

ScriptPNG can convert GIF, BMP, JPG, PCX, TGA, TIF / TIFF, PNM, PBM or PGM to PNG, without loss of image quality. Please note all generated PNG(s) are not optimized, whatever the option choosen ; ScriptPNG supports conversion of Animated GIF to APNG.
It also proposes 7 Compression / Speed Ratio : Fastest, Fast, Normal, Intense, Max, Xtreme and Ultra. The best solution for Web usage is most of the time the Fast solution. Choose the best compromise yourself. All those options are lossless.
ScriptPNG can convert a PNG file to PNG8 (256 indexed colors). It's a lossy solution, that's mean the image quality is less than original, but it's a very effective way to optimize your PNG files.
ScriptPNG can also optimize PNG24+Alpha files with the RGBA Optimizer option. This solution allows file size reduction withtout converting files to PNG8 (file is still in PNG24+Alpha). Please note this is a lossy solution. For more options, see also ScriptCQ.

Usage

Drag and Drop

Drag-And-Drop your files ON the ScriptPNG. For optimal optimization, always name your file as namewithtoutspace.png instead of my file name with space.png. Always use standard characters. Do not store ScriptPNG in a folder name with space like New Folder.

Informations

ScriptPNG does NOT support interlaced PNG files. For APNG Optimization, use Option 9 ONLY, because all others options will convert the first frame of PNG Files.
